Amsterdam tourist attraction # 2: Rent a bike

In The Netherlands, cycling is a typical way of transportation. There are more bicycles than humans in The Netherlands. That is why you have to try cycling, when you are in The Netherlands.


You can rent a bike for one or more days and pay a visit to different tourist attractions by bike. There are different bike renters in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is not so big (compared to other world cities) so you can reach a lot by bike. You can park your bike for free almost everywhere, so it is much more handy than exploring Amsterdam by car. If you travel by car you first have to search for a parking spot and secondly the parking fees for cars are very high (app. 5 euros per hour)  Because a lot of bikes are stolen in Amsterdam, always lock your bike properly.

    I really like this post. Seriously, i was not aware of the parking cost at Amsterdam. I am heading to Amsterdam during my next vacations and surely go for hire a bike for travel.

    I think a bike ride could be more fun than traveling by car. Quite amazed to know that Amsterdam could be explored by bike. This info should help if i am touring Nederlands soon.
